The ACLU of Indiana is comprised of two separate corporate entities, the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana Inc. and the ACLU of Indiana Foundation. Although both the ACLU of Indiana Inc. and the ACLU of Indiana Foundation are part of the same overall organization, it is necessary to have two separate organizations in order for the ACLU to do a broad range of work in protecting civil liberties, including litigation, legislative action, advocacy, communications outreach, education and fundraising. This Facebook page refers to both organizations under the name "ACLU of Indiana."
