FINAL WEEK: Aveda Earth Month Shoe Drive - through April 30

We're in the final week of our Shoe Drive! Shoes collected until the end of April (May 4 at Guys & Gals).

Clean out your closets to benefit HEC! As a part of Aveda Earth Month 2017, Guys & Gals Quarters Salon & Day Spa in Batesville, Sage, a salon in Indianapolis and Sundance SalonSpa (An Aveda Concept Salon and Spa) in Zionsville are holding shoe drives to raise funds for HEC's clean water initiatives. HEC will earn funds based on the total weight of shoes collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated footwear. Shoes will be collected through the end of April.

Drop-off Locations:
- Guys & Gals Quarters - 22 Saratoga Drive, Batesville (Mon & Fri 9a-6p, Tu, Wed, Th 9a-8p, Sat 8a-3p)
- Sage, a salon - 2210 E. Southport Rd., Indianapolis (Tu, W 12-8, Th 11-7, F 10-6, Sat 10-4)
- Sundance - 47 Elm Street, Zionsville (anytime, collection box in vestibule)
- HEC - 3951 N. Meridian St., Ste. 100 (Mon-Fri 8a-5p, collection box in vestibule on lower level of NUVO building)

All donated shoes will be redistributed by Funds2Orgs to micro-enterprises in developing nations. Funds2Orgs helps impoverished people start, maintain and grow businesses in countries such as Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa. Proceeds from the shoe sales are used to feed, clothe and house their families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send to her son to law school.

Aveda’s support allows HEC to do work that protects all of the waters in Indiana, bordering Indiana, and those that are downstream. Many of our initiatives have impacts as far as two of the Great Lakes, the Ohio River and even the Gulf of Mexico.
